SPTel Metro Ethernet is built on MEF CE2.0 compatible platform which provides high-performance Ethernet standard connectivity between multiple locations across a metropolitan area.

It is designed to support Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and Any-to-Any network design for enterprises that require ultra-performance, secure and reliable Ethernet connectivity running mission critical applications at a fixed or burstable bandwidth.

Metro Ethernet (ME) offers customers a premium layer 2 dedicated connectivity solution with the flexibility, allowing customers to activate additional features and value-added services through the intelligent customer portal anytime, anywhere.

Metro Ethernet ATA service is a multipoint-to-multipoint VLAN-based service for Layer 2 connection, based on MEF Ethernet Virtual Private LAN (EVP-LAN) standard.

Metro Ethernet services with Protected Path VAS utilizes an additional fibre path served via different network nodes to protect from failures on the active path.  In addition, the protection path will be designed to run through an alternative lead-in pipe and SP manhole if applicable.

MetroELite ATA service leverages NLT’s GPON infrastructure into buildings. In Metro Ethernet ATA topology together with sites covered by SPTel fibre, MetroELite may be offered only for sites that have NLT GPON coverage. The SLA is different for MetroELite ATA, versus Metro Ethernet ATA.
