SPTel Metro Ethernet is built on MEF CE2.0 compatible platform which provides high-performance Ethernet standard connectivity between multiple locations across a metropolitan area.
It is designed to support Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and Any-to-Any network design for enterprises that require ultra-performance, secure and reliable Ethernet connectivity running mission critical applications at a fixed or burstable bandwidth.
Metro Ethernet (ME) offers customers a premium layer 2 dedicated connectivity solution with the flexibility, allowing customers to activate additional features and value-added services through the intelligent customer portal anytime, anywhere.
Metro Ethernet Point-to-Point (PTP) service is based on MEF Ethernet Private Line (EPL) standard, a point-to-point dedicated port-based service for Layer 2 connection.
Metro Ethernet services with Protected Path VAS utilizes an additional fibre path served via different network nodes to protect from failures on the active path. In addition, the protection path will be designed to run through an alternative lead-in pipe and SP manhole if applicable.
Metro Ethernet Diverse Path circuits are designed and planned to run on different network nodes and ducts from standard fibre paths. For buildings with 2 different lead-in pipes, the diverse path fibre will be designed to route through the 2nd lead-in pipe. Diverse path circuits will also terminate on a separate Ethernet Demarcation Device from the 1st standard circuit.
MetroELite (MELite) provides a layer 2 Ethernet solution to cater to customers who require a cost-efficient layer 2 connectivity solution. It gives the option of layer 2 connectivity with island-wide coverage using shared fibre for a cost-effective solution.
